Full description
Escape the chaos of city centers and head for the tranquil Scottish Highlands on a 9-hour scenic tour of Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and more. Following a pick-up from your hotel in Edinburgh, you will take a brief panoramic trip around Scotland’s second city of Glasgow.

Then, head west towards Loch Lomond, passing the River Clyde. Stop on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, Britain’s largest expanse of water, with time for a boat trip or a ramble, if you wish.

Move on to the village of Aberfoyle, gateway to the Trossachs, where you will stop for lunch. With its lochs, glens, and heather-covered mountains, this area is often referred to as “Scotland in Miniature.” It was a favorite destination of Sir Walter Scott, who used the location as the backdrop for his “Rob Roy” and “The Lady of the Lake” stories.

Drive through the picturesque village of Callander and stop to visit Stirling Castle, location for many scenes in the hit movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

As you drive back into Edinburgh, relaxing music will be played in the coach.

Wholst me and my travel companion did not get to go on this tour since it was cancelled, I do have to say GreyLine was very supporting. They offered me an upgrade and we went with the Highlands Tour instead of this one. A great experience and welcoming customer service. Wonderful!

Brendan was a star!

We were let down last minute by Viator for our trip despite booking them 3 months in advance and managed to get booked on this tour at the last minute! I rang them in a panic as I had 3 pensioners with me expecting a trip and the guy on the phone was really friendly and helpful and sorted us out. Sooo glad we chose this one the tour was excellent, we were picked up right by our accommodation so didn’t have to walk all across Edinburgh to meet the coach. Brendan, our driver and guide was full of funny stories, facts, figures and even a couple of songs! I usually hate sitting on a coach but the time flew by. Loch Lomond was beautiful, I chose to do the walk and went up to Balloch castle but others enjoyed the boat trip. Sterling castle isn’t a patch on Edinburgh castle. Brendan recommended the pies in Aberfoyle for lunch and he wasn’t wrong. All in all a great trip and Brendan deserves a great big pay rise
