What people are saying about Edinburgh

Absolutely fantastic experience I will never forget!

Our guide, Gregor, was just the best! He provided almost constant entertainment during the drives from stop to stop - from historical tid bits to relevant music to jokes - it was so much cooler and more exciting than I'd expected. I highly recommend this tour and if you get Gregor, you scored big! Each stop was incredible, the lochs of Scotland are breathtaking and inspiring. Staying the night in Inverness was wonderful - a nice smaller town and a welcomed change of pace from the hustle and bustle of London where we were the previous week. Plus Inverness is gorgeous. We stayed close to Ness Bank and the river at night and in the morning was so calm and peaceful. I will miss that place and can't wait to go back! And the food was amazing too! We ate at Johnny Foxes and the haggis stuffed chicken was one of the best things I'd eaten the entire vacation. Gregor also recited Robert Burns' Address to a Haggis on the way back to Edinburgh which was pretty cool!

Very nice tur with a very funny guide, Brandon!

The tour was very interesting in terms of history and local facts. The nature was great. Brandon was the best guide I ever had, singing telling funny storys, joking. I very much liked that. He gave good information on ever stoppe. I had some challenges understanding all he said, as I'm Norwegian. I would however not hezitate to highly recommend our guide to other Norwegians. The Potter part of the trip was also interesting allthough I'm not the biggest fan. However my two kids are. If I should mention anything slightly negative, the information from Get your guide upfront maybe could have been better. The two youngest perhaps did expect a larger part of the tour to be on the train, and a smaller part on the bus. For me as a parent I had no problem with this, as the bus was quite comfortable.

Great tour, even for mild Harry Potter fans!

My kids (11 and 14) are big Harry Potter fans. My husband and I, not so much. But we still found this tour very interesting and worthwhile. They weave in a bit of history and identify all the landmarks that inspired JK Rolling. We did this tour on our first day in the city and it gave us the lay of the land for the rest of our trip and the walk helped us muster through the jet lag. Our kids loved it and I have to admit it was very interesting to see how she developed the series from this inspirational city. Our tour guide did a great job. Highly recommended.

Tour guide was great! Attractions better suited for the fully-abled.

Niel was wonderful. I found Alnwick very cheesy and hype-centered; I wish I'd done the gardens instead of the castle. As a mildly disabled person, I found parts of this tour too lengthy to complete within the time given, and I did not attempt the lengthy walks to/around the castles either on the Holy Island or the last castle of the day. I took my photos from a distance. Alnwick also involved a large amount of walking.

The bus journey was very entertaining & informative thanks to Brendan

There was not enough information provided about the historical locations during the train journey. There was also no information provided about points of interest related to Harry Potter especially considering the fact that this was advertised as an important aspect of the tour.
