What people are saying about Durban

This tour was for the adventurous. The drive from Durban to the 4x4 vehicle just outside Underberg can be long but our driver kept the conversation moving, captivating and answered so many of our questions! The tour itself was a drive to the South African border, through no mans land with the sharp turns and steep cliffs. Our guide stopped along the way to allow us to take photos, explore and revel at the majestic pass. Up top through the Lesotho border you can explore a few small local shops, before heading to a local village to have some of the most delicious bread and beer I’ve ever tasted. You learn about the culture, challenges and history of the local Zulu people. You then head back towards to border for a lunch stop at the highest pub before making the slow drive back down the Sani pass to the SA border. Each way up and down the Sani pass is about an hour and half, and very bumpy!

Definitely worth it. they puck pick you up door to door if you're staying within 5 kilometers. Also our guide was very straightforward that we may not see any animals but we say all we wanted in 2 hours. The 12 hours include the time it takes to get to the park and return. Great having a guide as they talk with one another to find out where the animals are for the day.

Our guides were absolutely top class. They were good at keeping us informed pre tour. They were prompt at collecting us. Our guide Freddy was very informed and showed us every part of Durban with interest and enthusiasm

Durban: Private 4-Hour City Sightseeing Tour Reviewed by Dawn, 01/28/2020

There is a lot of travel in this trip, roughly 4 hours there, but it was worth it. The guide was excellent and very chatty even though it was such a long day. If you have the time, I'd recommend this trip

Due to pandemic, Zulu dance was not available however local tour offered us a replacement activity for that. Zulu dance will be available after heritage day of 2020.
