Full description
Your 90-minute skip-the-line tour begins in the archeological area underneath the Milan Cathedral. Discover the Baptistery of St. John and the Church of Santa Tecla.

The Church of Santa Tecla was built during the 4th century and demolished in the Middle Ages to make space for the cathedral. The site was discovered by archeologists in 1961.

You’ll see a magnificent example of early octagonal construction with the Baptistery and learn about the life in Milan during the Roman era, when the city was the capital of the Empire.

Enter the cathedral and you’ll be standing inside the most iconic monument of the city of Milan and one of the largest churches in the world. With its 3,400 statues, 55 stained glass windows, spectacular altars and paintings, the Duomo is the most important example of Gothic style in northern Italy.

The elevator takes you up to the roof, where you’ll see the spires and sculptures from up close. Climb the 50 steps to reach the highest terraces and take a walk near the main spire, where the golden statue of the Virgin is located.

Enjoy magnificent views of the city and discover monuments and landmarks with your guide. On clear days, you’ll even be able to see the Alps!

We had a wonderful day experiencing the magnificent Duomo up close. From the crypt all the way to the spires on the roof, the knowledge provided by the tour guide was invaluable in enhancing that experience. The many intricacies of the decoration on each spire and arch could not have been fully appreciated without someone pointing out the hidden meanings of the stonemasons' art.

Our guide was a very passionate & knowledgeable young woman.

It was disappointing to know that despite knowing the need to stop tours due to a “state” funeral being held at the Duomo, the ticket office still sold tickets for terrace walk. We were fortunate to have time to return later in the afternoon to walk the terrace, but others had no time & found it difficult to get a part refund. The jumping the queue is definitely well worth the extra money...on any other day that’s not interrupted by a funeral.

Excellent - it was so busy we would’ve missed so much without it

Loved everything about it. Quite small group with excellent guide. The earphones are a great idea and the only way to enjoy the Duomo is do a guided tour as it so busy and queues are so long. The rooftop tour is breathtaking If you have precooked online my tip would be ignore the queue into the ticket office and go straight to the front desk to pick up your headphones and meet your guide - otherwise you’ll be queuing For ages. There should really be a big sign saying all precooked customers this way!!! Note you will have to leave ID for your headphones - passport or driving license etc
