What people are saying about Dubrovnik

Montenegro was beautiful - minivan not so

We visited Budva, Kotor and Perast all of which were beautiful and travel worthy destinations. It was a door to door service, picked up (7.15am) and dropped off (8.30pm) at our hotel. Lydia our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable and informative with the right balance of quiet periods. Her restaurant recommendation in Budva was not good (sorry Lydia) - whilst the staff were lovely, the food was not. It was a very hot day and the aircon was practically non-existent. It seemed to be retro fitted and consisted of ugly pipes visible through a hole in the panel above your head which wasnt ideal but would have been OK if effective. All in all a lovely day out in a breathtakingly beautiful country. Only downsides were air con and that the journey to first destination Budva was 4 hours!

You just have to do this with Dubrovnik Walks

We decided to do both walks on the same day but you could easily spread it over a number off days. First we did 2 hours on the walls with the most brilliant guide, Marko. There was not this guy did not know about the history of Dubrovnik and his delivery was most entertaining. It was an extremely interesting two hours, made by the fact we had Marko!! In the afternoon we did the Old Town tour with 'Ivan the Cheesemaker'. Another extremely knowledgeable guide who knows 'not much' about cheese but thankfully a huge amount about the Old Town. Don't try to do these tours on your own, using Dubrovnik Walks with these fantastic dudes is the only way and the best way to do it.

A lovely intro to Montenegro with knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide

This tour was great for some of the highlights of Montenegro. We discovered that there is a lot more to see and the tour has inspired us to return in the future. It was well organised though a long day, but I don't think it could have been any shorted due to everything we fitted in. Our guide was great: informative, interesting and enthusiastic. She had good recommendations and engaged with everyone on the tour. I would advise anyone on this tour to bring a swimsuit and be aware that it is safe to leave things on the bus. Bring something to occupy your time at the border crossing and also wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Great fun, even in strong wind with big waves

Overall impressed with the website, signup experience, gear provided, and the guides. Also good email responses to questions. A bit disappointed that huge rolling waves prevented going all the way around Lukrum Island, but plenty of time at (crowded) Betina Cave, with mask and snorkel provided, was a nice reward. Apple, banana, and wine afterward, all good and appreciated. Liked the unhurried pace, got nearly the 3 hours expected.

A great day out and great value for money.

The pick up was initially a bit confusing but after this, the trip came in to its own. Free flowing drink (soft and alcoholic) with a simple but delicious lunch all served by the crew who were great and very friendly. A great day out visiting three of the islands with plenty of time to explore and enjoy the facilities of each.
