What people are saying about Dubrovnik

Beautiful tour, but wish Croatian guide was better

PROS: - The pickup was on time and the coach was comfortable. Our local Montenegrin guide Slavica was excellent; she was extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything patiently and thoroughly at Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. - The sights were beautiful; the scenery in Montenegro is unlike any we've seen. CONS: - Our Croatian tour guide (who was in charge while we were inside the coach) Marinara was constantly on edge and rushed, and did not allow us to have a relaxed tour at all. She was very loudly chatting with the coach driver constantly—literally NON-STOP throughout the several hours we spent in the coach, both to and from—and this made it impossible for any of us to relax and enjoy. On the way back, everyone was tired and wanted to take a nap before we reached Dubrovnik, but Marinara's incessant loud talking made that impossible. Also, whenever we asked her for any information, she did not reply properly. - The coach driver didn't drive smoothly at all.

Amazing tour, super nice and knowledgeable tour guide!

We absolutely loved the GOT tour! The guide even showed us images of scenes that were filmed exactly where we were standing which was really helpful to see the full picture. The places we stopped were really beautiful, it’s a great way to see the town and learn at the same time - he was also really good about stopping and giving us photo opportunities without making us stay too long in each location. The company helped us find the guide as we were looking for them at the wrong address (2Stradun on google maps takes you to the center of Stradun street just fyi. But we were able to catch up with the rest of the group and the guide was very nice about it. Highly recommend bringing water and/or snacks as there’s not really a break in between so have your coffee before you leave!

Good Tour, Driver and Guide shame about the Border Crossing

The Tour was lovely. The driver picked us up promptly and we were driven to the first of stop in Perast, then we meet our guide who took us on a boat ride across to the island with a church and Museum (Our Lady of the Rocks). We then proceeded on Boat to Kotor Town and our guide gave use a brief tour before we had a few hours to explore the town. Our guide was friendly and helpful and very very chatty. We were then picked up by the driver and when we reached the border check point it took two hours. This was no fault of the driver just politics and lazy officials so can't fault this tour. Good to see another country and would recommend but make sure you have plenty of time to get back in case you get stuck at the border like us.

You just have to do this with Dubrovnik Walks

We decided to do both walks on the same day but you could easily spread it over a number off days. First we did 2 hours on the walls with the most brilliant guide, Marko. There was not this guy did not know about the history of Dubrovnik and his delivery was most entertaining. It was an extremely interesting two hours, made by the fact we had Marko!! In the afternoon we did the Old Town tour with 'Ivan the Cheesemaker'. Another extremely knowledgeable guide who knows 'not much' about cheese but thankfully a huge amount about the Old Town. Don't try to do these tours on your own, using Dubrovnik Walks with these fantastic dudes is the only way and the best way to do it.

A lovely intro to Montenegro with knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide

This tour was great for some of the highlights of Montenegro. We discovered that there is a lot more to see and the tour has inspired us to return in the future. It was well organised though a long day, but I don't think it could have been any shorted due to everything we fitted in. Our guide was great: informative, interesting and enthusiastic. She had good recommendations and engaged with everyone on the tour. I would advise anyone on this tour to bring a swimsuit and be aware that it is safe to leave things on the bus. Bring something to occupy your time at the border crossing and also wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
