Popular First time visitors in Dubai Marina

There was great communication throughout the process of excursion. The tour guide picked up my wife and I promptly from our hotel and took us to the dessert destination. We started off with the dessert tour (please advice that you shouldn't either eat too much or go on an empty stomach as the motions of the car can make you feel sick). The driver was attended enough to ensure all passengers in the car are happy. after the tour we had a BBQ lunch and a few traditional dancer shows to keep us entertained. we also had the chance of smoking shisha (if your into that and handling falcons, which was rather interesting. followed by camel riding and pictures with the baby camels. Overall this was very much value for money. and I most certainly would recommend this again. I have to give an extra thank you to Iklaq who was the tour guide who looked after all passengers including myself who were in his vehicle :)

When we went on our scheduled timing we were surprised with the guy on the reception desk telling us that the trip was cancelled because of the high sea waves!! We were very very disappointed as our hotel was long distance far away and we paid a lot for a taxi (120 AED) They told us that the options that we have either to cancel the trip and get a refund or to postpone to next day. We chose to postpone and returned back to our hotel with another expensive taxi.. Such bad organisation ruined one day of our vacation in Dubai.

This is a good way to see both the old Dubai and the new (modern) Dubai in one day. There are 3 different routes that together cover Dubai. The commentary provides useful information on the history and culture of Dubai and the UAE. Note that together the three routes take about 6 hours to get through without jumping on and off. At unexpected times of the day there can be traffic on some of the routes. There was live English commentary on one of the buses along the red route.

It was a nice trip though a few points could still be improved. Info about meeting point could be more precise, i.e. Pier 7, by Exclusive Yachts stand/kiosk, as I haven't seen any red carpet, lounge or specific banner and thought I could be in the wrong place. Also, it was really hot and I could use the airconditioned lounge, never saw one. Otherwise all went fine.

The information provided was good but there was a lot of time that there was often “filler” music which became annoying. That time could and should have been filled with more information and also information that was not so obviously directed at encouraging the spending of more money. Fewer malls and more interesting information!
