What people are saying about Dresden

Relaxing on the boat but rushed in the town

Lovely journey to get there and back . We had to ask for English commentary and it was hard to hear at the front of the boat , maybe change the voice to a male? We found the porcelain factory eventually , when stepping of the boat turn left ( wished we had!) . We arrived at the factory at 1 pm but the next tour was 1.30, we were assured we should be finished by 2pm but didn't want to risk missing the boat , ( I do have a few mobility issues especially on the cobbles) so we gave it a miss and went for an ice cream in a beautiful square and enjoyed the scenery which in hindsight I should have just done st the start. Oh we went down to find the setting off place the day before as you need to exchange your paper/mobile tickets at their info office - you don't find out till the day which jetty you are leaving from and you can exchange your tickets then .

Dresden: Elbe River Cruise to Meissen Reviewed by Angela, 07/07/2017

Comfortable boat, with options for eating, drinking & lots of seating

Our voucher was swapped for tickets at a booth beside the Elbe River and we joined a queue at dock number 4. The boat was large with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Snacks and meals were available for purchase as well as a variety of drinks. The commentary was in German and English at various intervals of the ride and provided good information. We were lucky with 80 degree weather!

Guide was great as we travel in -2c with all building closed freezing

The guide did a great job and was very knowledgable on the times and styles. The problem is the tour company as they did not indicat that the palace was closed. So I understood why the guide did not understand why we were there. We had a good time any way.

Very professional guide who does a great job!

Love this guide and will highly recommend. A really thorough introduction of the opera house and had some really interesting stories to share about the bridges linking the 3 buildings haha!

Informative tour of the main sights of the old town

Tour guide was friendly, knowledgable and entertaining. We got to go inside most of the sties and she gave an interesting insight to the history. 2 hours was perfect.
