Full description
Discover the beautiful city of Dresden, see the historic stately buildings and walk a bit off the usual tourist paths.

Start at the monument in front of the Semperoper and stroll along one of the oldest bridges of the city to reach the other side of the river Elbe.

From the once beautiful Barockstraße of Dresden, the trail leads to a building, which has housed a museum of Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden for more than a hundred years.

Then, you'll arrive on Sarrasanistraße and continue to a market hall with many small stalls. Admire the Kirche der Drei Heiligen Könige with her impressive altar as well as the Dresdener Totentanz, which differs significantly from other dance of death representations.

Then, you'll visit the Kunsthandwerker-Passagen and discover an idyllic designed courtyard. See lavishly and lovingly restored buildings that have adorned the Barockviertel for over 250 years.

Afterwards, you can enjoy the hustle and bustle around Königstraße, before you finally reach the river Elbe. Here, you'll experience the world-famous "Canaletto Blick", where Bernardo Bellotto stood in 1747 and was so fascinated by the view that he painted Dresden in the 18th century in oil on linen. 90 years later, Johann Christian Dahl painted Dresden at night.
