Please pass on our best wishes to Tony. His enthusiasm and sincerity together with going over and beyond was much appreciated by everyone on the trip
We did the drive up to Milford Sound the day before and promptly canceled our boat trip and booked this instead! The drive to Milford's worth it, but for a boat trip into what genuinely feels like wilderness (on a small boat and without constant helicopters!) BOOK THIS! It was great value, including a boat trip and a very amusing coach trip in a geriatric bus. The free tea and coffee on both boat trips is a winner :) Loved the experience - it's strangely tiring so I wouldn't plan anything too ambitious later in the day...!
It was a really nice day trip, we thought we are going to sail on the sound, but the boat tour was nice. Wouldn't chose the lunch. We paid 190 each- i would not pay more.
We thoroughly enjoyed all phases of the day's outing - great commentary on the things we saw. We especially loved the 'Sounds of Silence' - five minutes of no human noise at all - jus the birds, the breeze and the water.
The day began rocky because we were sent the wrong pick up directions. we waited at the Kiwi Cafe until a few minutes after 9:00 and then scrambled to figure out where the bus was. Someone at another agency connected with Go Orange and directed us to drive to Manapouri! After that we met the boat and we had a great day and saw some of the world we only read about. The drivers and crew were so knowledgeable and made the day rich! They worked hard to make sure we saw wildlife on a very wet, traditional Fiordland day! We met some new friends from India also! they
