Full description
Get a briefing about how to ride your Segway, and then put on your provided helmet, safety vest, and audio receiver when you feel confident on the self-balancing personal transporter.

Head to an historic coal mine, now home to the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts, and learn about the important coal mining industry of the North Rhine region. Continue to the moated Westhausen castle, built in the first half of the 14th century, and see the Malakow Tower of the 19th-century colliery. Glide on to Bodelschwingh castle and its English landscaped park.

Return to the starting point to learn more about the history of the colliery and mining life at the small BUV-Kleinzeche museum in the gatehouse.
