What people are saying about Doolin
We decided to take a tour rather than drive ourselves that day and it was the best decision!! Our driver and guide, Alan, was phenomenal! He not only was a safe and considerate bus driver, but he delighted us with his history of Ireland; the attractions he pointed out along the way; his direction on what to expect and what to do regarding getting onto the ferry to the Aran Islands, and being back on time; his assistance in coordinating the various tour methods on the island; his directions on where to go for food and the best sites, etc.; his jokes that were actually very funny; and overall, his warm and approachable personality! I don't feel that the experience would have been as positive or as informative had we driven ourselves. I hope that anyone that books with this tour has the good fortune of travelling with Alan! :)
Brilliant to see the cliffs from the bottom and then from the top. Great few hrs spent at this amazing attraction. Kids (8,7,4) were blown away by how close the boat went to the cliffs and ghen how high up they were after. Visitor centre is built into a cliff. Very sensitive to the landscaping. Walk up on top is breathtaking. Fairly hairy in parts, quite easy to fall over, you need to keep ur wits and ur kids close to u. No railings at all. Staff at the doolin ticket office and on boat were great. Vg at their jobs
Tour was well organised and the guide has given us interesting information on Dublin, Ireland and its culture plus lots of recommendation for places to eat, drink and listen to Irish music. The places we have seen are truly amazing and you can really get a glance on how beautiful Ireland is. Although there is a lot of driving I recommend it.
Daniel - our tour guide was fantastic. His illustration, behind stories, local’s know how and suggestions were all amazing. Tour program was on time and he entertained us throughout the day. Highly recommend.
My tour guide was Gavin while my driver was Tom and they both did an excellent job! They shared some historical tidbits and jokes along the way. The cliffs were well-worth seeing! I had a blast :)
