What people are saying about Denpasar
Great from start to finish, driver was on time and came to the right part of the hotel after I emailed the instructions, then he organised my fast boat tickets wrist band and our passes at the port I didn’t have to think about a thing. Fast boats were modern and comfy there and back. The welcome and organisation was great when we got there and then we were on smaller boats to go to the snorkeling areas the first spot was great saw three manta rays the water was deep and the sea pretty rough to be honest but it all still felt very safe they had staff floating around on life buoys for the less confident people to hang on to. Next two spots were in much calmer water with coral reef to look at saw a pretty good range of fish. Back for lunch it was a delicious buffet and you can buy Bintang beer if you like. Finally a chilled out tour through the mangroves then back in to change and then a transfer back to the Fast Boats. Driver was waiting right there on the beach for us. Perfecto!
Especially snorkeling with the mantas was an amazing experience!! 2 more locations after that we just as nice and the guides were very helpful and enthusiastic. Food was average. The transport however was dreadful. Cramped from one boot into another. Took us 4 transfers to finally get to our destination. I know things do move fast around Bali but this was a waste of time. Rather had spent more time in the water. Kayaking in the mangrove was nice but not for me. If the transport would have been more efficient I would have given 5 stars.
The trip was amazing! The weather was cloudy and rainy, but it didn’t affect the sea and we were able to see manta rays and all sorts of colourful fish. The staff were so friendly and helpful with my friend who was really nervous. The buffet lunch had a good range of food, and the base where you have lunch, showers and the lockers is really cool and chilled. I’d highly recommend this trip! Great value for money and the mangrove kayak tour at the end was an amazing way to finish the day!
Snorkeling was great, we saw a mantra ray and colorful fishes. Nevertheless in some places we had to swim in the middle of plastic bags and garbage! Eventually we visited 4 spots in place of 3, thanks to the instructor. The staff was very friendly, the food excellent and the welcoming drink and fried bananas much appreciated. The driving on the return leg in the van was unsafe, the driver playing with and looking at his smartphone in place of the road.
I enjoyed the trip and exploring the coral reef marine life. Regarding the Manta Ray point, while I am an experienced free diver, I felt that the conditions on the day - strong currents and waves- were a bit dangerous for non experienced swimmers although swimming with Manta Rays was a great experience. I would advise a more careful brief to less experienced snorklers in the future on this specific spot.
