What people are saying about David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Mixed feelings, some things I liked, somethings I didn’t

Very irritated having to wait one hour to buy the ticket to start the safari, because there were supposed to be four people on the tills and only two turned up. The actual safari was wonderful! The guide worked very hard to find the animals and was happy to stop when asked. There were specific roads so you couldn’t crowd around a specific animal, I liked that very much. The back drop of Nairobi was spectacular. Seeing the baby elephants was wonderful, the only downfall was that because it s the rainy season everyone was caked in red mud. It was also very dangerous when walking on the paving stones. I hated the giraffe centre, everyone fighting to get a photo and for some reason everyone seemed lose their manners. I would not recommend this centre.

Had a wonderful day - saw so much and Peter was an amazing and informa

I only had 1 day between flights and packed in a most enjoyable tour - from being collected at 5 30 am to avoid traffic - to fabulous Peter who answered all questions and gave interesting facts all along the way - took int he National Park in wild muddy roads and still saw game, baby elephant orphanage, giraffe centre and last but no means least Karen Blixen museum and still was dropped at the airport in good time to catch my connecting flight = thank you for special memories

Amazing to see so many species in such a short time

After several safaris in other parts of Africa I was amazed to see so much in such a short time and so strange to have the background of Nairobi buildings and traffic with giraffes and buffalo in the foreground. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage was well worth a visit too.

Highly recommend a guided visit to the national park.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and ensured we saw as many animals as possible. He found out where the lions had been spotted and got there quickly to make sure we saw this elusive animal! Then the visit to the baby elephants topped off a fantastic trip. Thank you!

Amazed about the amount of wild life encountered close up

A great warm-up before a safari or a chance to still see a lot if you are too busy to go on a safari. The elephant orphanage was a heart-warming experince. Adorable. Recommended without hesitation.
