Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Voted one of the Gold Coast's most popular tourist activities, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary allows you to get up close to many of Australia’s iconic wildlife. Located among 27 hectares of rainforest and filled with interactive animal exhibits, wildlife shows and activities for young and old, this is a great value day out on the Gold Coast. As a not-for-profit organisation all admissions contribute to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and the preservation of this historic National Trust of Australia property. See cuddly koalas, feed a friendly kangaroo and come face-to-face with one of Australia's largest salt-water crocodiles. From the famous lorikeet feedings, twice a day, to world-class reptile and bird shows, you really do have access to it all here. Established in 1947, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary was one of the Gold Coast’s first wildlife tourism parks. As a not-for-profit, funds are re-invested back into the Sanctuary and one of the world’s largest wildlife hospitals, caring for more than 8,500 sick, injured and orphaned animals per year. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has 13 daily shows including 2 new shows by Blinky Bill & his friends, the Free Flight Bird Show, Australiana Sheep Shearing Show, Dr. Doo-Lots and the Creature Teachers and don't miss the Aboriginal Dance show.
