What people are saying about Cotopaxi National Park

A fabulous experience at a great price + awesome customer service!

I booked this tour for my first day in Quito (might want to acclimate to the altitude at least a day first). I could only go that day. I have had previous altitude issues so I purchased oxygen canisters in advance. I cannot say enough about what a great Guide Fernando was and Nixon was a great driver too. We picked up Paulina as a park Guide and she led us up the zig-zag route to the refuge lodge. The change in elevation from there is about 1200 ft and the route is just less than a mile. Fernando stayed right with me encouraging me and assuring me I could do it. I did, but his encouragement made the difference. We saw a llama wandering around, wild horses and a variety of bird life. Take this trip- it was awesome!!

Ecuador: One of the Best Kept South American Secrets

I have done several tours in my lifetime and this one ranked among the top three. I have done other tours with Gray Line before, but I think this was the best. Everything went well without a hitch; from the airport/hotel pickups to the actual tours. The guides (4 for the entire trip) were very pleasant and cordial, but my favorite was Illyrio. The hotels were great; Marriott in Quito, Hosteria Andaluza in Riobamba and Mansion Alcazar in Cuenca. The train ride took my breath away. We enjoyed shopping at the Otovalo marketplace and leather shops; we definitely got some great bargains. The Cathedrals in Quito and Cuenca are as beautiful as many of the Cathedrals that I have visited in Europe. All in all, a fantastic trip.
