Our guide was well informed, amusing, and my daughter and I enjoyed the visit very much. British tourists are into Danish TV series and interesting remarks could be included in the audio guide. For example, North Sealand area featured in "The Killing" ("Forbrydelsen"), and I believe in many other Danish TV series. Furthermore, the British tourists would be interesting to hear about Anne of Denmark (the second daughter of King Frederick II of Denmark) who married King James I's . Their residence in London, from 1603, Somerset House, was named 'Denmark House' in her honour. The history of Somerset House (taxing system, etc.) is very similar to Fredensborg's. Check the website https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/history The only problem was that coffee break was not planned! If the tour has to be 7 hours instead of 6.5, but with coffee/tea break before entering Hamlet's castle, that has to be done.
As an intro to Copenhagen it was a great ride, highlighting places that it would be worth revisiting. Did not cover the whole of the centre but gave a good appreciation, The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The bikes took a bit of getting used to as the front brakes were not too effective and the back pedal, bake brake took a bit of getting used to. It was not the fastest ride due to the pace of some of the riders but this did not lead to the guide pressurising anyone. Overall a good 3 hours of enjoyment and education.
The Copenhagen Tivoli Gardens fast track entry ticket was not as described. The venue has one line that devolves into 4 lines at the entry point.thus the description fast track is misleading and deceptive. The entry is effectively the same for all entrants to Copenhagen Tivoli Gardens. Despite this marketing embellishment we very much enjoyed the visit to Tivoli Gardens Copenhagen. It was a beautiful day out thank you.
Alex was very knowledgeable and gave a great account of the history of Denmark. It was great to have two assistants on the ride as this was quite a large group. The size of the group made for a slow ride as it often took three sets of lights to cross roads. Apart from this drawback, it was a fun ride with 3 helpful, charming guys.
This is a great way to see Oslo. Josh had a wealth of information and a passion for the city. He made sure we were decked out in wet weather gear as we didn’t have any and was very entertaining. You could see so much more on the bike than on foot. Highly recommend for all age groups.
