What people are saying about Coimbra

A wonderful afternoon with our very personable and informative guides.

Diogo and Joan were exceptional guides, kind, informative and a lot of fun. We learned so much about the region from them and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

It was an amazing tour and a perfect way to end our Porto holiday.

Christian was an exceptional guide...very knowledgeable, accommodating, as well as entertaining too. In ten hours, we managed to travel to Fatima, visit the homes of the shepherds, attend the Palm Sunday mass, enjoy a very good buffet lunch as well as shop for a few souvenirs. We then visited Coimbra which was another beautiful destination and rich with history and culture. We also had time to buy the delicious Nata/Portuguese egg tarts to bring home with us. This is a tour which we can highly recommend as it was so much more than we expected.

Fátima and Coimbra Full-Day Tour from Porto Reviewed by Anonymous, 03/26/2018

I enjoyed the trip which I have never experienced for the first time.

To visit Fátima in my all life, it's special, fantastic of my religious life. Moreover, the guide gave me something new like religion, place, Portuguese culture, etc. He is kind, humorous, very intelligent person. Especially, he loves his country, Portugal. From this trip, I have any good chance to know, understand Portugal. It was happy time. Thanks a lot.

Excellent option to experience Aveiro and Coimbra in one day!

This tour is great for those who want two distinct experiences on a single day: Aveiro with its beautiful nature and water canals, and Coimbra with its university atmosphere. The tour includes pick up and drop off at hotels and custom locations. Groups are small (4 people including me when I took the tour) so it is very personalized. Make sure to take the ride on the moliceiro as it gives a different perspective of Aveiro (Portugal's Venice). Bring comfortable shoes as there is some walking in Coimbra including going uphill in some streets. Our guide Hélio drove us safely, provided interesting information about the cities, and made sure all the questions were answered. He also recommended a good restaurant in Coimbra and got us tickets to the library without having to wait in line. As noted in the tour description, the boat ride and library entrance fees are not included. When I took the tour they cost €10 and €7 respectively. I enjoyed the day exploring both cities!

Excellent private tour with a professional and fun guide

We very much enjoyed our tour to Fatima and Coimbra, the tour guide, Eduardo, was knowledgeable in the venues and a lovely person to chat with. He also gave us some locals tips on places to check out in Porto. We loved our stay in Porto but we're also very glad we did this tour with Eduardo!
