We really enjoyed the walking tour. The places we visited were beautiful and our guide was really engaging and friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave the walking tour a little early to make it to a punting time that would fit in with our train home. The boat then left 15 minutes late because we were waiting on other guests - even though there were numerous boats free. That meant we had to run the whole way back to the train station to make sure we caught out train.... which was a little frustrating. Other than that - a good day out in Cambridge.
This was a decent tour, our Mexican guide (I think her name was Paula) was charming and knowledgeable and instantly likeable. In fact my only issue - and this is hardly her fault - is that I could hardly hear her at times above the general hubbub of Cambridge. We loved the punting and were lucky with the weather.
The walking tour with Maria was very informative and interesting- telling us the history, the quirky traditions and everyday life of students. Pip was our guide on the punt, telling us even more about the history of the colleges. The punt was a great way to relax after the walk. Perfect afternoon and great value.
Our walking tour guide Eleanor was great. Very friendly and told us lots of interesting facts about places of interest on the tour, including anecdotes of alumni and the colleges, and insights into student life.
Our guide Maria was amazing and gave very insightful account of the history and highlights of the university and student lives. Good at keeping the group together and making sure everyone was well looked after.
