We had a good day in Botswana and saw lots of animals, despite it being the rainy season. Only saw one of the big 5 (elephants), but saw numerous birds, impala, antelope, hippo, baboons and giraffe. We even saw a hyena on the return trip to Zimbabwe. The Botswana company used for this particular excursion appears to be quite small, as there was only my wife & I on the trip (other excursions appeared to have 20 - 30 people on them). This meant was had our own guide for the day, who was very good. The game drive in the morning lasted 2 hours, 30 minutes, which was less than the 3 hours that I expected. Buffet lunch was excellent and included 3 courses. Afternoon boat trip was in a small boat, enabling you to get close to the river bank. Boat trip lasted about 2 hours, again less than I was expecting. Transportation was good throughout and border crossings were very easy, although had to wait 40 minutes at the border on the return for another trip to return. Overall, an enjoyable trip.

An excellently combined safari from water and the bank

Our tour started by hotel pick-up at Avani Victoria Falls Resort, Livingstone. The operator on the Zambian side, Maano Adventures, kindly confirmed the pick-up time the day before by e-mail, which was helpful for us to prepare for the tour, such as breakfast of the day. Moving to Kazungula by their car was smooth and comfortable including handing over to the operator on the Botswana side who really helped us when entering the country. I have to note that birth certificate(s) is a "MUST" when you bring your children to the tour! Both safari cruise and safari along the bank were beautiful. We spotted many animals, birds and reptiles. The Landcruiser we used was a bit packed, which was only very marginal dissatisfaction during the tour. Return trip to Livingstone was also well arranged, and we had no problem with closing the one-day exciting tour peacefully. Thank you very much!

Enjoyed the day trip safari very much. Saw so many animals, especially elephants and giraffes, very close up. Our guide was very informative and tried hard to get us to see as many of the Big 5 as we could. He knew Chobe park well, which was great for us. The hotel pick-up and getting through customs went very smoothly thanks to the guide who stayed with us all day. The lunch buffet was a nice break in between, and the food was really good and varied. Thanks for a great tour and a great day.

Lovely journey to Botswana through Zambia and Botswana to Chobe. The park was lovely and very green this time of year. We saw a great variety of birds and animals especially very close to a mother and baby elephant. Also two Male lions. The cruise on the Chobe river we saw hippos crocodiles buffalo and birds as well as various antelope. Unfortunately being the rainy season it rained and reduced our views. Guides were excellent and it was a very enjoyable day .

This was absolutely the best tour of the many countries that I've traveled to so far. If you're in the Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana region this tour is a must. Request Brook as your guide because he really takes his time so everyone can get the perfect pictures. And he really gets up close and personal with the animals that sometimes it will make your heart stop.
