Most Memorable Experience About Portugal

Our guide, Beatrice, made this tour one of the best things we did in Portugal. She was articulate, gave us some facts about history, current events, and fun facts. She made the sites exciting for us and took her time answering questions, took her time climbing the hills, and made sure to cater to each and every tour guest. The tour itself took us through the old town, the Alfama district, several churches, the Carmo Convent, a couple of viewpoints, a tram ride, and a coffee (BICA) and Pastel de Nada break. We learned about where certain Portugal names came from, the earthquake and the effects on the city, the current traditions, and the origination of the tile work, the churches, and celebrations. I highly recommend this tour and hope to book more tours in the future because of this one.

Best way to start your stay in Lisbon! We really loved her!

We really loved her! She is a very pleasant person with very good English and with a very vast general knowledge on the history of Lisbon, Portugal and culture in general. She doesn't just give you some quick answers or descriptions about the places we visited. Every street you see with her is a beautiful story. Also we strongly recommend to book this experience in the first days you arrive at Lisbon. Because she will present you the best places to see and will help you organise your trip better depending on your preferences. And what is so interesting is that, especially because this trip isn't about the main attractions of Lisbon, it makes you understand this city better. Thank you so much for the great day we had with you!

Great overview in a short time with a fantastic guide!

As we were only a group of 4 people, our guide Francesca could give us the best insight views into her city. We did a wonderful tour, very compact but it covered most of the important Barrio Alto/downtown/Alfama sights (excluding the Castel) and there was even time for a short coffee break/pastel de Nata away from the crowds! We had so much fun and for sure we would recommend Francesca - or should we rather keep this secret tip to ourselves??? ;-)

Fantastic tour with an amazing guide - well worth it!

This is a great tour to get introduced to Lisbon and Portugal’s impressive history. Our guide (Catarina) was very knowledgeable and had great stories about key historical events affecting the country and the city. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend to anyone going to Lisbon

Language barrier as English was not her first language

Great guide, did not seem to fully understand some of the questions I asked, think there may have been a language barrier, but overall a well worth experience. Book on your first/ second day so you can get your bearings around Lisbon.
