Perfect tour for an introduction to Mexico

We started the tour in the Museum of Anthtropology and stayed there more than 3 hours. A wonderfull start. The museum is a must-see because of the most comprehensive presentation of the pre-spanish aera. After a short lunch break our guide Edgar took us on a walking tour around the city center of Mexico City. This completed this first introduction to the city. It was really good being on this tour with 8 people only. No doubt Edgar is very knowledgeable but he MUST improve his English! In many cases it was nearly impossible to spot what he wanted to put across to us. Members from the group helped me which was really good. In the end I was a bit disappointed that the pick-up from my hotel did not work out. I must admit my hotel was not in Mexico City itself. But that this would be prohibitve to the pick-up was not clearly stated in the terms of the tour. A big plus was the phone help-line of Get-your-guide. Easy access, reliable and competent. Go for this tour!

Pyramids in the early morning-fantastic!

The early morning trip to the Pyramids was great! Having the place all to ourselves, enough time for exploring. A really knowledgeable guide and really friendly. Well organised. All great! Lunch was also nice and the factory tour as well. The afternoon walking sightseeing tour through Mexico City was not so great. We were rushed through the streets of Mexico City. The Templo Major was only viewed 2 minutes from the outside ( I would have expected to get a little tour through it, based on the tour description). The guide did not explain a lot. I could have also walked around on my own and learned as much (he did not even go with us into the cathedral, we did look at everything basically on our own, he only guided us through the streets and told us where to go). So this part of the tour was rather superfluous

The perfect way to start your stay in Mexico City

Our tourguide, Gerson, was excellent! This was the best way for my daughter and I to start our vacation in Mexico City. Gerson picked us up at our hotel then showed us the sights as described when we purchased the tour plus he gave us much more information about the surrounding areas, places to shop, the subway and much more. He showed us where to get the best tacos and now I am constantly looking for something at home that comes close. Before my daughter and I went on this trip everyone was telling me to be careful and they were worried for our safety but of course they had never been to Mexico City. The Reforma area and the historic area were safe, so beautiful and rich in art and history. All the people I came across were so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back again!

A rocky start but a wonderful tour in the end

The tour was really good in the end but the initial guide who picked us up from our hotel, Juan, was quite rude and abrupt. He took us to the office to print off the tickets even though when we booked the email said showing the ticket on your iphone would suffice. He didn't explain to us what was happening just herded us up some stairs then spoke to another person in the office. We were really relieved when we discovered he would not be our guide. Our actual guide was very passionate about Mexico and had a lot of interesting stories and information for us throughout the tour.

Wonderful insight from a friendly, knowledgeable guide.

Our history tour was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City, thanks to our guide, Emmanuel's deep knowledge of Mexican history and art. He enriched our experience enormously and was great company, as well. We'd recommend doing a guided history tour for anyone visiting this city.
