Elisabete is so very knowledgeable that spending the entire day with her filled us with information about Sintra, local history, things to do in Lisbon, etc. She was eager to answer our questions and was also curious about how things are in the US. Our day was carefully planned to maximize our use of time and allow us to have a leisurely lunch in town. Though we are not morning people, we talked just today (4 weeks after this visit) about how it was so worth it to have gotten on the road at 8:30. We arrived at Pena Palace when the gates opened, had a leisurely visit and when we left, saw the ENORMOUS line of people waiting to get in because they'd arrived and hour or 2 later than we had. While we had lunch, she went and got our tickets for the afternoon visit, allowing us, again, to walk right in. Finally, in addition to being knowledgeable and well-organized, Elisabete was a great pleasure to be with. Ask for her by name and we guarantee you'll have a great day.

Alex was stellar! He arrived at the agreed upon time happy & enthusiastic. We arrived at the Pena Palace with minimal queue. He was very knowledgeable and was able to share local insights. He facilitated our ticket purchase & walked with us through the palace pointing out facts & interesting details. When we left the palace the lines were so long reinforcing that taking Alex’s advice was the right choice. We went to Monserratte, which was wonderful & again even more re insight via Alex. Alex was so professional & courteous making sure we had what we needed to have a successful day. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering visiting Sintra.

This was our first time taking a private tour. Our guide was one of the nicest people! He had wonderful knowledge of the places we went. The Pena Palace wasn’t accessible on that day so he took us to the government palace, a port wine tasting and a pastry shop and treated us to pastry & cappuccino. Instead of taking us to the crowded restaurant that all of the busses go to, he took us to a fabulous restaurant that the locals patronize. It was our last day in Portugal and this tour made it our best day. We highly recommend this company and especially Marceo (sp)

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Our guide Bernardo was awesome. He had tons of knowledge about everyplace we visited and delivered it in a manner that kept even our 2 teen daughters interested the full 8 hours. He was prompt when picking us up, was an incredible guide and overall a really nice guy. We would highly recommend seeing Sintra with him and hope to hire him to see more of it when we return.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Sintra from Lisbon. Our guide, Alex, was terrific! He was punctual, polite, and easy to talk to. In addition to telling us about Portugal’s history, he also told us about what life is like for most Portuguese. The weather wasn’t great for our trip - rainy, foggy - but Alex helped us make the best of it. We highly recommend this tour!
