Good trip to see the environment in and around Naples and Pompeii.

I was picked up from my hotel and that is really great if you do not know the area that well. We had an excellent guide that explains everything in detail while we were traveling to Naples. Even what to expect for lunch. The local guide for Pompeii reminded us that we can tip him which was not that great. However the information provided at Pompeii was informative and we were showed the most interesting places in the 2 and half hour tour of Pompeii. Remember to wear proper walking shoes. The walking area is uneven and at places difficult to walk. Take enough drinking water. We were told that, to cover the whole area will take 3 days. The lunch was really not that great. No one at my table enjoyed the food. After the trip we were dropped at places "near" our pick up points. I got lost and had to ask directions several times before I reached my hotel.

Excellent day out with splendid tour of Pompeii.

Very comfortable coach but it required an early start and we didn't get back until 8.30pm. Our brief tour of Naples was on the coach and there was no opportunity to actually walk round any part of Naples so the title of this tour is quite confusing. The included lunch was very good. The guide taking us round Pompeii was very knowledgeable and interesting. The walk was quite long and difficult on cobbles and large stones. There was a long wait of more than an hour before we were escorted to the coach. We then had a long wait for another coach to transfer and receive people who were on a 2 day tour. This made our journey back to Rome at least 2 hours later than could have been done if it had been better organised. I would recommend this activity but NOT Absolutely...!!! There was too much time wasted during the day which spoilt our experience.

Wonderful trip for my husbands 60th birthday. Loved it

The guide was helpful and friendly. Spoke several languages made sure everyone was comfortable. Trip included 3 course lunch which was delicious. Drinks were not included, but reasonably priced. Tour of Naples was by bus, which was good with interesting local guide. The tour of Pompei was on foot and it was not always easy to keep up with guide. Be warned the tour is not easy access for disabled people, the floors are uneven as you would expect for the ruins of an ancient city. Absolutely fascinating and the guide was very good. Trip was a treat for my husbands 60th birthday and we were not disappointed thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Such a poignant place to visit with Vesuvius still dominating the skyline.

Too much waiting; lunch in Naples was awful.

Overall good. Local guide Wilma should not be a walking guide; too slow for Pompeii. Serve pizza for 1st day's lunch. Resort that served the fish and steamed meat was awful. Keep it simple and short. We all felt 2-3 hrs was wasted sitting waiting for bad food. Wish we had more time to explore Pompeii. Office staff was very rude and not helpful!

Generel tourist guide was not so good, but guide in Pompei was great

Tourist guide was not speaking really good in english (it was really hard to understand), but the direct guide in Pompei was just great - he spoke very interesting. In general the trip was ok. Too much time for Neapol by bus and just completely unnecessary trip to the local factory.
