Full description
Join a relaxed Giant's Causeway day tour which will also visit the most well-known Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland. The tour will head north on the Antrim Coast Road and will stop at Carnlough Harbour, which was featured in series six. Next, stop at Cushendun Caves, which were formed by over 400 million years of extreme coastal weather. You'll then visit the now iconic avenue of beech trees known as the Dark Hedges. This avenue was featured in the very first series of Game of Thrones and is an ideal location to dress up in cloaks and grab swords for the perfect photo opportunity. After stopping for lunch in a well known local restaurant, the next stop is a visit to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, which hangs 300ft above the Irish Sea. You'll then visit the oldest licensed distillery in the world, Bushmills Distillery. Here you'll find an extensive gift shop and an opportunity to buy whiskey that can't be bought anywhere else. Next on the itinerary is the Giant's Causeway, where you will marvel at the 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed over millions of years. Finally, stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the ruins of Dunluce Castle.
