Full description
Following pickup, you will begin with some warm-up stretching exercise in the heart of the city on Adderley Street. From there you will see some exciting historical monuments and buildings which are stalwarts of the city’s culture and history.

Throughout your running session, your tour guide will make sure that Bo Kaap (known as the Cape Malay and known for its historical colorful houses) is not to be missed, before you proceed to the waterfront. You will encounter Adderley Street, the Company Gardens, the South African House of Parliament, and the High Court throughout this stage of your fitness tour.

Running through the city with your qualified personal trainer/tour guide, you will proceed over Fan Walk Bridge, which was built for the World Cup which was hosted by South Africa in 2010. You will then proceed to the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront, where you will enter the Silo District and Clocktower Precinct. You can take a photo in the yellow frame with the spectacular Table Mountain as a backdrop, and learn how the Clocktower Precinct is the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island.

You will then continue your running tour to the main section of the V&A Waterfront by means of a newly renovated connecting swing bridge. From here, you will find yourself in the hub of one of the most popular tourist destinations, the V&A waterfront Cape Town. Another photo opportunity presents itself with the majestic Table Mountain in the background, and your personal trainer/tour guide will share the history of the waterfront, which first opened for trading in 1990.

From there, you will follow your personal trainer/tour guide as they lead you along the safe running pathways to the Mouille Point Beachfront. Passing through Beach Road, you will learn about Somerset Hospital and Cape Town Stadium. Cape Town Stadium in Green Point was one of the ten stadiums built for the FIFA World Cup in 2010. Your tour will eventually end with some warm-down exercises under the guidance of your qualified personal trainer. You can smell the fresh Atlantic Ocean breeze, and enjoy a chilled bottle of water and a refreshing towel. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be dropped off back at your accommodation in Cape Town.
