Full description
The tour starts with the panoramic view from Signal Hill over Cape Town and Robben Island.
Visit Clifton Beach, one of the Cape Peninsula's most famous and beautiful spots. Clifton Beach is actually made up of 4 coves, and the beaches are simply called 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. When the summer south-easterlies blow, the Clifton beaches are usually well sheltered from the wind.

All of the beaches are accessible via stairs leading down from the road above. In the summer, we'll plan to get to the beach early as parking is very limited. Generally the 4th is the busiest in summer, with good changing room and bathroom facilities.

From there, head to Hout Bay. Originally a small fishing village, this town is now a favorite with visitors thanks to its traditional harbor as well as its many restaurants and shops. The beach is flanked by the harbor on one end and the cliffs of Chapman’s Peak on the other. It’s a favourite amongst windsurfers, paddleskiers and surfers and is ideal for walking.

Then, our tour takes us for a drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive, as it winds it way between Noordhoek and Hout Bay. Situated on the Atlantic Coast at the south-western tip of South Africa, this is one of the most spectacular marine drives anywhere in the world. The 5.5-mile (9 km) route, with its 114 curves, skirts the rocky coastline of Chapman’s Peak, the 1,900-foot (593 meter) high southerly extension of Constantia Berg.

The drive offers stunning 180° views with many areas along the route for us to stop and take in the scenery, or sit down for a relaxing picnic. Then, at the tip of the Cape Peninsula 37 miles (60 km) south-west of Cape Town, lies Cape Point, a nature reserve within the Table Mountain National Park; a declared Natural World Heritage Site.

Encompassing 7,750 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna, abounding with buck, baboons and Cape Mountain Zebra, as well as over 250 species of birds, Cape Point is a nature enthusiast's paradise. Don't miss out on a full day of exploration along South Africa's famous Cape Peninsula.
