What people are saying about Cancún

Diverse snorkeling including an intimate meeting with sea turtles

A very nice trip to two very different snorkeling destinations, one in a cenote, one in the sea next to Tulum, where we could observe turtles. The turtles were nearly tame and approached us till an armlength. The guide was friendly and competent. Just two things could be improved: 1. It could be mentioned in the advertisement that the eight hours of the trip actually encompass four hours of car ride. Also it would have been useful for me to know ahead that the trip will lead us to Tulum - had I known this I would not have travelled from Playa del Carmen to Cancun the night before. Advice: Call to the company in advance and ask to which destination the trip will go. 2. During the trip the guide asked for additional 10 $ pp for the car drive. Belated requests for further payment like this however leave a certain suspicion. It had been better if it had been included in the prepaid amount. Be aware that you will be requested to wear a life jacket, even if you are an excellent swimmer.

A great park that will keep you busy if you like the water&marine

It is pricy but totally worth it. The cheapest tickets are those bought in advance, do choose the transportation option which will give you more time at the park. Very accessible with ADO bus as well but you loose about an hour in the morning. Meals and drinks are included ( that includes alcoholic beverages) and both are excellent. You get a locker and key as well. I chose to snorkel but you can also tube down the river. There are several access points to get in/ out of the water wherever you want. The trail along the cenotes is very nice as well but can be slippery on wet water shoes, look for the small caution triangles. I was in the water by 10 am, used a bicycle to get to the beginning of the river. I did the whole river to lagoon once and then spend time in the lagoon exploring the marine life near the rocks and watched the folks on the zip lines etc It’s huge! I had lunch in about 30 min, walked the trail for about 45 min., and spend the rest of the time in the water.

Spectacular time at park! Fun for all ages!

Get time at Xel-Ha. Didn’t wait to long in line. Photo package is definitely worth it so you don’t have to worry about carrying your camera all day! If you want an activity like swimming with the manatees (which my husband enjoyed) get there early. We arrived at 9am and the earliest slot they had available was 2:15pm. You must be on time too! Premium activities like dolphins, manatees, zip bike and fish therapy are all additional and range from $20-$119 depending on which one you choose. All food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) are included! Fantastic time worth every penny. The only thing I can say is that I preferred to but the ticket online ahead of time so I know I have it....but it’s the same price at the park

An amazing day out, we thoroughly enjoyed it

Eugenio was an exceptional guide, he welcomed everyone in the group and introduced us all to the others in the group which broke the ice and we felt we really got to know everyone. The day was relaxed, no wasted time but not rushed either. First went to swim with the turtles via a short boat trip, saw two turtles and loads of colourful fish in the reef followed by a cruise past the Tulum Mayan ruins, then lunch on the go to 4 cenotes, swimming in a couple of them. We bought the photos at the end, Eugenio was using a GoPro camera throughout which we eventually received the photos 12 days later after repeated requests, not sure what the delay was but some great photos and videos (via drop box). Thoroughly recommend this trip.

If you want a day full of surprises, with alcohol, this is it!

Left pier by 10am, great sail, bring sunglasses, hat and towel to swipe off sweat, sunblock, towel and a positive attitude. I would do this everytime I come to Cancun. Sailing by 10am. While waiting you can drink, take scenery pictures and shop. Once on the boat, you get instructions, Sail an hour, snorkeling 30-45 minutes, back on boat, eat on island, back in boat to shopping/ beach area on Isla Mujeres then sail back to main land! We were on the Catamaran called Max. If you can get that one.
