Easy way to see Venice in a day from Rome

This excursion is a pre-packaged day trip from Rome to Venice and back. For our schedule it was a great idea and was delivered exactly as advertised. Get on the train early, see Venice for about 5-6 hours, then return late in the evening. The only down side to this trip was the shear number of people they allow on the trip(40+) while overwhelming the assistant they provide. We had Antonella and she was wonderful. She provided a great deal of personalized assistance considering the amount of people she had to deal with. Several times we felt horrible for her when people did not meet when supposed too and/or not at all. Though I would recommend this trip for what it is, it does provide exactly what is advertised. I would HIGHLY recommend the company either limit the amount of people allowed on the tour, or break such a large group into smaller ones and provide an additional assistant. Antonella, Thank you for a wonderful trip !!

The Citypass is a smooth way to get around in Venice!

We had some problems initially to convert the voucher into tickets. It took the personel about an hour (and 3 persons) to check that our voucher wasn't false (they said). I showed them a printed version and the digital one in my phone. The Vaporetto is a fast way to get around in Venice. The Alilaguna is much slower, but takes you from Mureno to Lido (and to the airport). It doesn't show when you buy the ticket if the entrance to the Dodge palace is "skip-the-line" (is it?). We didn't use the card for entrances to museums/churches. They never checked our tickets att the Vaporetto. Value for money?

Good, but careful with verbal information!

We took the 3 days pass plus Alilagina (airport-cruise terminal-airport). When exchanging vouchers for tickets upon arriving at th airport, I was told we could use the tickets to Sn Marco, and later on finish the trip from San Marco to the cruise terminal. That was not so, we had to buy another ticket at €15.-, so beware! Otherwise the 3 days vaporetto were excellent! Would buy them again?

Transportation was a breeze with city pass and skip the line

The transportation pass saves you money and time standing in line to buy tickets. If you ride a couple of times, it’s actually cheaper. The skip the line for the Doge’s Palace worked great and you truly do skip the line and go right in. Highly recommend.

Fantastic value for Venice, gets you around everywhere

Able to visit the Doges Palace, the most important site-seeing venue & several adjoining museums & churches. Superb value & the 3 day vaparetto pass lets you hop on & off the 'bus' at will.
