Full description
Discover the Amalfi Coast from the sea on a wonderful guided cruise to Positano.

As you take in the beautiful scenery of the Mediterranean coast, stop at the famous Emerald Grotto. Discovered in 1932, the once dry grotto, later flooded by the sea due to seismic movements, owes its name to the unusual colour of the water, caused by the reflection of sunlight against the rocks.

The interior of the cavern offers you an extraordinary, unique scene. The remarkable atmosphere, dominated by brilliant green and blue, is made even more fascinating by thin stalactites and, above all, by the spectacular formations of stalagmites that emerge from the sea. Like huge columns over 10 m (33 feet) high, they join to the roof.

From there, land in Positano, the town famous for its white-washed cubes of houses, its cultural events and for the exclusive fashion creations sold in delightful little boutiques.

Enjoy roughly two hours free time for a walk through the beautiful alleys or to some of your own exclusive shopping. Make your way back to Amalfi at around 18:00.

Absolutely worth it (but could not hear great)

The views of the coastline from the water are unparalleled, and a huge reason to visit Amalfi!! We loved seeing all the towns and their unique details, but the tour guide's voice was muffled by the sound of the boat, so we barely heard anything. We didn't really mind, but I think they should look into improving that part, even if she stood outside with the group so we could try to read lips, that may have helped! I also think they should include the 6 euro fee for the emerald grotto in the initial ticket price.

To do ... Useful and very nice

Too bad for the start time only ... For the disappointment of Positano, with its multi limitations imposed by the mayor ... And finally, for the emerald cave, certainly characteristic, if not the only spectacle of the waters, but boatman too much storytellers and considering the size and duration of the visit, as well as the professionalism of the staff, the price / quality ratio disproportionate ...

Nice trip, but without visiting the grotto

Very nice, but it was not possible to visit the grotto because the waves were too high. The guide was great and also did a tour in Possitano!
