Majestic vistas, historic remnants, unforgettable!

Got picked up at the Golden Nugget where my wife and I were staying. Our Guide Adam was very informative and had a great sense of humor. It was a full tour bus, so we had to stop and pick up 10 other people at other hotels. No worries, we were done fast and on our way. It was a mostly sunny day and temperatures were in the 70's-80's. Remember this is desert! Water was supplied by Adam. We did a leisurely drive with stops in a 13 mile circumference. You can request more or less air conditioning. You may want to think about bringing a camera with a zoom lens. Beautiful scenery. Got to see ancient handprints on rock. Traces of the original Old Spanish Trail. Turtlehead Mountain, and the most Joshua trees you will ever see in one spot. We then went to a Ranch nearby that a few people have owned over the last century, including Howard Hughes. We had sandwiches, potato chips and cookies for lunch supplied by Adam. ( If you are vegetarian, there were no lunches for you! BYOL).

Excellent tour and guide! Well worth the price.

Our guide had a gret deal of knowledge about the areas geography, history, flora and fauna he did a great job. We made 6 stops including the ranch tour, which was a little long for us, we liked the stops where we got to get out and explore the rocks. We had a box lunch outdoors at Spring Mt ranch was good and we had an awesome view for lunch. Saw wild burros leaving the ranch. All the stops for views were incredible!! A couple improvements would be the choice of music the guide put in on ride back to city- racist song about “son dont go near the indians” ?? Some old cowboy cd that was not exactly PC. Suggest more time for exploring and less time hearing about the history of Spring Mt ranch. That tour got boring fast for us. Other than those two things it was enjoyable and would recommend if you want to get out of the city to observe nature.

It would have been better if it hadn't been for the rain!

We booked from the UK. Excellent communication with the company Casino Tours about our pick up from the hotel. They responded promptly to my emails. The only let down was the heavy rain. We ended up eating the picnic in the mini bus! However, the lunch was very good - just sandwiches, crisps, water but very tasty. The Tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job despite the weather. We stopped off several times around Red Rock National Park and also visited a cow ranch.

Beautiful nature that is so close to Las Vegas!

A short drive from the stripe transports you to a beautiful nature preserve. The views are beautiful! The rock formations are amazing. We did not encounter any wildlife, but we did find evidence of their existence. This is a great way to spend a day. We only spent four hours, but would have liked to have time for a hike. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
