What people are saying about Cairo

This is a long day out but totally worth it. We stayed in Cairo for the week, therefore we flew to Luxor, a 1-hour flight at around 6am, we flew back around 8.30pm. We were met at Luxor Airport by our wonderful guide Youla who is from Luxor. Youla is lovely, so friendly and very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology. We had the best day with her! We were very excited to visit The Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, Luxor Temple and the mesmerising Karnak Temple – major highlights of our trip all in one day. We had a lovely lunch at a restaurant in Karnak, good options for vegetarians too. Our flight back was delayed and Youla got her thinking cap on and suggested we have a trip on the Nile in a felucca boat, it was beautiful trip on the Nile just before sunset so the light was amazing, and it was a lovely end to an incredible day.

This trip was absolutely amazing. We were picked up on time at 3.45 from our hotel and taken to the airport for out flight to Cairo. When we arrived we were greeted by out tour Guide Gabri who was so friendly, was very knowledgeable and was just amazing. It was too early for the pyramids so Gabri took us for a local breakfast and so tea. We then went to the pyramids and had a camel ride. Next we went to the Spinx and then the papayas museum followed by lunch. After lunch we went to a perfume shop and then the museum. We paid extra for an early flight so after we never went to the market but went to the airport. What an amazing day. Thank you Gabri you were fantastic.

We had a lovely time with Noha - she was extremely informative, with a good level of English, and more importantly, a good sense of humour. We were taken by driver to various pyramid and other historical sites, and felt at ease to take our time at the venues and ask questions freely. Lunch was lovely, and it went very smoothly. Thanks again Noha!

Omar, our guide, was excellent. We were battling against the elements with rain and howling gales whilst we were at the Pyramids where normally blue sky and sunshine is the norm but Cairo had the worst weather for 24 yrs! Despite all this we visited the Pyramids, Memphis and Karnak, where Omar gave an expert explanation of all 3 sights.

I had a lovely trip to Alexandria and saw some great sights. My guide, Irily, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. A few parts of the trip felt a bit rushedbas trip was a lot quicker than I thought, like we didn't even go in the Citadel of Quaitbay but overall it was a great trip still.
