Full description
Discover Tahrir Square, a central circular plaza in downtown Cairo, which wasn't on most tourists' radar until January 2011. The 2011 demonstrations and protests brought the square global fame as hundreds of thousands of people covered the area over the course of several weeks. Though major tourist sites are located just off the square, Tahrir Square has since become a must-see Cairo site in its own right.

Meet the air-conditioned bus waiting for you at your hotel and learn about Tahrir Square from your guide who really has good knowledge about the revolution of January 2011. Refresh yourself by cool drinks served to you during the drive. See murals and street art from 2011 to the present day depicting different facets of revolutionary sentiment.

Then head for the Egyptian museum, home of the monuments to the Pharaohs’ history. This museum  hosts more than 120,000 rare artifacts from the Three Kingdoms, At least half of which are on display. You have two “full” floors with 107 halls to view. While the ground floor holds heavy statutes,  the second floor contains the small statues, papyrus, the mummies and the world’s most extensive collection of the boy King of Tut-Ench-Amun. Take your time discovering his shining items, but pull yourself from the bewitching room and put in mind, the most astonishing has not been shown yet.
