Full description
As soon as you step foot on a super-fast, luxury 20m CAT, you’ll feel welcomed and pampered. With your early boarding from Marlin Marina (with prior check in at 7:15am from Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns Marina), you’ll get to breathe in the morning ocean breeze as you’re taken out to one of two snorkel and dive destinations.  At the stunning Upolu Coral Cay Reef, you’ll learn about graceful blue-spotted stingrays, tenacious green sea turtles, bright damsel fish and other amazing creatures that call this reef their home, as you observe them from a glass bottom boat. You’ll then have the chance to see these inquisitive creatures up close, while snorkeling within the incredibly clear, turquoise water. The second snorkel and dive site is the fascinating ‘Wonder Wall’, located on the outer edge of Upolu Reef. Here you will enjoy snorkelling on the top of the wall for easy viewing of all the marine life and coral. Maybe sign-up for the optional, certified or introductory guided dive, encountering a huge variety of aquatic flora and fauna, including hard and soft corals, giant clams, fans, turtles and a vast assortment of colorful tropical fish as you descend and meander along the side of the wall .  In between visiting these two sites, you’ll enjoy a smorgasbord lunch fit for a king. Enjoy smoked salmon, prawns, three types of cold meat, a chicken platter, three fresh salads and a variety of breads. After a relaxed six hours of diving and snorkelling, you’ll spend the trip home indulging in even more delicious food, arriving back at Cairns at around 4:30 pm.

We loved it! The tour was definitely worth the cost. The guides were all super good at what they do, food was delicious, they didn’t rush on anything so for me who had never snorkelled before it helped to be much more relaxed. Everything went very smooth, one of the best tours I’ve done so far :)

Unfortunately our tour was on one of two of the windiest days so far this year! On saying that the reef was still beautiful and we still snorkelled and swam heaps. Visibility wasn’t the best but we still saw heaps. The crew of Ocean Freedom were amazing!!! We didn’t need to ask for anything. They were informative and approachable and you could tell they must love their jobs. We had an overall great day.

This would be the best Reef tour available. Make no mistake and only use Ocean Freedom. The staff is absolutely outstanding. The help provided is second to none the entire day. Nothing was too hard and I was made to feel very comfortable. Never snorkelled before or been swimming in the ocean due to my spectacles. I was given prescription goggles and plenty of help, so I was able for the first time to see the wonderful life under water. An experience not to be missed but only enjoyed due to that exceptional crew from Ocean Freedom. Don't hesitate, find out for yourself.
