What people are saying about Buenos Aires

A great day on the Estancia -incl. San Antonio- with a faboulos guide

I choose this tour because it was a small group tour. Finally 3 of 5 participants jumped off in the morning so we were only two for this tour. Our guide told us a lot of interesting stories about the landscape we drove through and even in San Antonio de Areco he has a lot of stories around the buildings. Our visit included the church and a very impressive silversmith. Arrived on the Estancia we were introduced to all people working on the Estancia. There were some other guests, but it was a very familiar atmosphere. After a cool drink and some empanadas we started with the horseback ride. After our return we had a great lunch and then a short Folklore show and an amazing demonstration of a horse wisperer. I really enjoyed this day. It was a relaxing and private atmosphere, not too much touristic. I can recommend to spend a little more for this small group tour.

What a lovely, relaxing day outside Buenos Aires city!

Our guide/driver Marcelo was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our stop at the town center of San Antonio de Areco was brief but relaxing to see the local provincial life and a silversmith gallery for Gaucho ornaments. The ranch is lovely, and the owner's son, Pablo, was very gracious, he mingled with guests, and even led the horse ride - it's very humble of him. The horse ride was also amazing, but be prepared to get your shoes and pants dirtied with mud otherwise choose the carriage option. The lunch was also sumptuous and abundant. What we like the most about this tour is that it only caters to small groups, so it's a very refreshing trip even if the drive is 1.5 hrs each way.

More sights, more fun, and even better than we expected!

When we signed up for the tour of the Colon Theater we didn't expect to have an afternoon of sightseeing along with the theater tour. Our guide met us at the appointed hour and, since the appointed tour was full, she bought tickets for a later hour and took us on a walk all around the downtown area. She was a wealth of information on Buenos Aires history and culture. She even took us on a bus ride and showed us how to get around on our own. This was a great introduction to Buenos Aires. We enjoyed the walk as much as the tour of the theater--which was a special experience also.

Best 3 hours you could spend to get acquainted with the city.

Great native guide with good English but passion for her city and its history. The three stops at Plaza de Mayo, La Boca and Recoleta Cemetery were short but enough to get to see other nearby sights and were well narrated. Van was quite comfortable, pickup was early, our group of 9 was a comfortable size. Guide did a great job of pointing out sites in the city as we traveled from place to place giving detailed histories. Well worth the time and the price--actually a bargain well worth it.

Good overview of Buenos Aires and good guide

We enjoyed the core part of the tour. We were picked up at 2 pm but actual tour only started at 2.45. No fault of guide, but a few no shows. Suggest one central meeting point. Everything felt a bit rushed after that. Perfect English spoken and deep knowledge of guide (Patricia) enhanced trip. Possibly make room for a few more personal titbits and recommendations.
