What people are saying about Buenos Aires

Took two hours to get to San Antonio de Areco, stopped at the small town on the way to the ranch. Nice church. Very informative guide. At the ranch we had a drink and some empanadas - they were excellent. Then there was a choice of horse riding or a carriage ride. It was possible to wander around the ranch. Lunch went on and on, the food was good. Don't fill up on the first round of meat - there were sausages, then pork, then chicken, then lamb, then beef, then more beef and more beef. There were some 'salad' dishes to go with all the meat. Wine, beer or soft drinks. Two choices for dessert. Then there was a 'show' with dancing and some singing. Audience participation - not for me!!! Very basic. Best part was the horse whispering demonstration, that was brilliant. I was expecting more gaucho demonstrations, but not to be. Another two hours back to Buenos Aires. Nice to get out of the city and see some countryside.

Picked up from the hotel on time. Guide was informative on the journey to the port. Sit on the left hand side of the boat, as for the first hour the views are of the coastline. Once the boat gets into the delta the scenery changes, wasn't expecting so many houses and such a community. All very interesting. The trip states that 'snacks' are provided, this consisted of a small coffee and a small pre pack muffin. Boat trip takes about 2 hours. In Tigre we were given about an hour to wander around the markets, but very little of interest to see or buy. There were a few places to eat.

I had a tour that not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Not only was Pat super knowledgeable, but very personable. I was on the tour alone which sometimes can be a bit awkward with someone you don't know, BUT within 5 minutes I felt very comfortable and had the best day exploring El Tigre. I was discouraged by many to not take a tour and to do this on my own and I'm SO glad that I spent the money and did the tour! It was worth every penny!

We used the bus end of February 2020, when highest daily temperatures were around 33C. So needed hat and sunscreen on top deck, and beware overhanging tree branches. Good tour but commentary could have had more detail. Not all seats had working audio and one bus we were on audio got stuck. But we did 2 day and that was good valus for money.

Voice descriptions were not always in Synced as to where we were with the bus. Ticket vouchers purchased in line should be able to be given to any bus to get on. This having to go to Florida St to exchange vouches is really behind the times.
