Full description
Experience the past and present of Buenos Aires, visiting neighborhoods, admiring architecture, and seeing the best attractions the city has to offer on this 4-hour sightseeing tour.

The tour starts in the northern part of the city. Explore the neighborhoods of Retiro, Palermo and Recoleta, which are full of large green spaces and beautiful French-style mansions. Here, you’ll make your first stop: a 5-minute picture stop at Floralis Generica, a sculpture made out of steel and aluminum.

Then, stop for a half-hour tour of the Recoleta Cemetery, which contains the graves of notable people including Eva Perón, and a granddaughter of Napoleon. In 2013, CNN listed it among the 10 most beautiful cemeteries in the world. Pass by Colon Theater and the Obelisk to reach your third stop, Plaza de Mayo, where the city was born in 1580. Admire the Pink House, the Cabildo, and the Metropolitan Cathedral for about 20 minutes.

Continuing towards the south of the city, breathe in the air of tango in its hometown: San Telmo. You’ll also visit the neighborhoods of La Boca, where one of the most famous stadiums in the world is located: La Bombonera. In La Boca, you can also admire the colorful conventillos (tenement houses), home to Italian immigrants at the end of the 19th century, as well as the picturesque street Caminito.

Afterward, you can be dropped off at the meeting point or various other attractions. If the hotel pickup was selected, you can be taken back to your hotel.
If option is chosen, at the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at Madero port, where lunch is included aboard Humberto M boat.

The 4 hour city tour was excellent. We booked the night before and had to walk to the tour company office to start the tour. Had we booked earlier hotel pick up was available. The first 40 mins of the tour was driving to pick up people from hotels but that was OK as we saw some of the city as we went. The minivan was comfortable and we had enough space. Our guide was very good and said everything in both english and spanish to suit the groups on board. The itinerary of the tour covered all the major sights of Buenos Aires. We had stops at the cemetry for Eva Peron's tomb, Plaza de Mayo for the cathedral and pink palace, and Boca for the colourful streets, houses and markets. The duration of each stop was about right. We did optional cruise which included a lunch cruising in the river Plate. The ship was comfortable and the 3 course lunch was very good. The only dissappointment was that the ship sailed out of the harbour past the docks and then turned round so we did not see much.

The 4-hour city tour was a great way to see the highlights of Buenos Aires and our tour leader was very informative and gave us some great insights. Tips: Check out where the tour actually begins - we wasted a lot of time travelling across BA to the meeting point only to travel all the way back to where we started with some further pick-ups along the way - we could have saved at least 1hr if not more and a taxi fare. Don't bother with the optional cruise unless you are interested in seeing some shipping containers, the food was ok but mostly served and eaten in the dock and then when "cruising" there is very little to see.

The tour and guide was very good, but the van had two languages that did not allow us to get full value. There was no effort to confirm this setup or give us options. There was no way the guide could impart all the info in the time allotted.
