Full description
Learn the Jewish heritage of Budapest on a 2.5-hour walking tour of the city’s former ghetto, and see some of the monuments that commemorate the Jewish community in the Hungarian capital.

Start in the Erzsébetváros neighborhood, site of the historic Jewish Quarter of Pest, and visit the Dohány Street Synagogue, the largest functioning synagogue in Europe. Built in the 19th century in a Moorish Revival style, the Islamic influenced architecture of the synagogue is offset by the other attractions of the complex, such as the Jewish Museum, and Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park to the Jewish Martyrs.

Stroll Erzsébetváros discovering other monuments to Jewish life, such as the Rumbach Street Synagogue, and the former gate to the Jewish Quarter on Madách Square. Pop down Gozsdu Passage and learn about the labyrinth of courtyards and alleys that linked the buildings of the ghetto.

Then, go to one of the most atmospheric wine bars in Budapest to sample wines from across the wine regions of Hungary, all in the company of a skilled sommelier.
  • 6 different wines at the wine tasting
  • Snacks
  • Skilled sommelier
