Great walking/eating/drinking tour in Budapest

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this 4 hour tour with Barbra. It started in the Central market with a shot (medicinal we were told) of Unicom and then continued with a tour and tastes from various booths in the Central Market building. After the market we went to a chocolate shop, a local restaurant where we sampled more dishes than we could count while standing up at an outside table with the locals, followed by a coffee/dessert cafe and then finishing with a wine tasting. Warning: Do not eat before starting this tour!!!

Good overview of Hungarian cuisine

The culinary walk starts in the Budapest Central Market which was a lovely visit. Having a Hungarian guide that explains how Hungarians eat certain food items as opposed to tourist versions was very interesting and I really enjoyed having the opportunity to ask random questions. After the market we headed out for a typical Hungarian lunch at a small very popular cafe where you stand and eat. Our guide brought a lot of different dishes so we could sample everything. Then we bought locally produced chocolates and we ate them at a coffee shop with cakes. Unfortunately I had to miss the wine tasting due to my flight schedule. I definitely recommend this - it's a small group setting, easy to book, informative and tasty.

An offbeat outing

This was a fun experience. Our guide and her colleague were informative and very pleasant. The Central Food Market a site to behold. The selection of foods we were given to sample were diverse and delicious. Take this tour if you are a foodie (or even if you are not.)
