What people are saying about Bucharest

Excellent day trip to Bulgaria from Bucharest

This was an excellent day trip with only me on board. My tour guide was Andrei and he provided good commentary throughout as we moved from one location to next one. He also made sure I knew where to go in each city and gave me short tour in each location. In addition, which was important to me, I had answers to all my questions about history and local culture. We stayed on schedule throughout the day. The old town of Veliko was very interesting, beautiful old architecture and winding cobbled streets and stairs. The scenery was breathtaking and our lunch at the restaurant overlooking the surroundings was excellent (the food was so good and fresh).

Fascinating and friendly - a great combination

Loved this walking tour. Learned so much. Nice small group so you could ask questions, amazing depth of knowledge known by our ever so patient guide. Couldn’t recommend more.

Great Tour! Highly recommended, extremely insightful.

We spent 5 days in Bucharest recently, and of all the activities we did (tourist and otherwise), this was by far my favourite. A must-do if you have any interest in what it's like to live in Bucharest, the effects of communism, and the transition to capitalism. The insight given is from someone who has lived through the lasting effects during the transition to capitalism, with real insight into what got us here and where Bucharest and Romania are headed. The stories told are fascinating, and the connection that is shared is real. It's such a deep and multi-dimensional topic, that any understanding we can have from the west is severely limited by where we get our information. It's nice to get that from someone on the ground, who has a deep understanding of the subject matter and real connection to it.
