Full description
Jews have been settling in Bucharest since the early 16th century, mainly around the The Old Princely Court and the main commercial routes of the city. However, Bucharest never actually had a true Jewish district. Today, the areas where most Jewish families were concentrated are mostly forgotten and abandoned, although they are very close to Bucharest’s commercial center. These days their development potential is enormous even though the area has a rich history.
You will see abandoned and restored synagogues, the former Sephardic Neighborhood, the astonishing Choral Temple and more.
  • Guided tour and entry to the Choral Temple

The young lady led us very competently and with great knowledge that never came across tiring. She was also very helpful to us, that after some back and forth we could get to the starting point of the tour on time. Conclusion: a thoroughly successful and interesting tour!
