What people are saying about Bucharest

Excellent and knowledgeable guide, office staff could be better

It was nice that the guide knew the topic really well. As I am quite fluent in the topic (about Eastern Europe in general, but no about Romania in particular) myself, I appreciate that the guide was able to answer specific questions and speak about different issues. But the office staff made some mess at the evening before the tour. I was proposed another time for the tour but did not accept it. Luckily I was checking the email all the evening so it was possible to follow the proposals. However, some other people from the tour did not manage to read the final message so they joined the tour a half hour later (they were proposed the change of time to 15:00 but afterwards changed back to 14:30).

I am glad that I saw Peles and Bran Castles

Peles Castle was amazing. I wish we had time to do the full tour instead of just the standard tour as I would have liked to have seen the bedrooms. I suggest that the tour give the participants the option of paying the difference in ticket price for the full tour, which I would have done. Those who do not want to do so would have free time there. It was the highlight of the tour. As our tour guide stated, Bran Castle was just an Instagram moment. However, I felt I had to see it. The information about the Romanian royal family was interesting. Brasov was fine for a late lunch.

75 percent of driving, 25 percent of sightseeing

The tour was nice and Sorin, our tour guide, who has over 20 years of experience in touring, provided insightful information about the history and some cultural aspects. We liked that we skipped the line in both castles, however, both of the castles were very crowded, which could be expected in high season. A warning for those who get car sick easily, this tour is mostly about riding in a car. If it was not a lot of driving, we would have given this tour a straight 5.

Great tour to see some Transylvanian highlights

Boogie was an exceptional tour guide - full of energy, funny, and the kind of guy who takes initiative to solve problems as needed. There was a hopeless traffic jam and he got off the bus to help get the situation resolved so cars could move again. He provides an interesting perspective not only on the sites visited but also on modern life in Romania. Note that the entry tickets into the castles is included in this tour price, which is a ~$25 value.

Great trip, beautiful countryside, cool castles and town

Vlad was a great guide , helped the the tour jump the huge ques on the day we did the the trip. Vlad supplied a mind blowing amount of interesting facts, stories, history, social commentary and a book review of Bram Stokers Dracula during the the 12 hour trip.
