Full description
Start your Bucharest adventure with some authentic Romanian treats. Sample a selection of local foods, including goat’s cheese, cured meat, spring onions, homemade bread, and locally brewed craft beers. Then, visit the Armenian quarter, with its spectacular architectural styles and the Jewish quarter, home to one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of the city: Mantuleasa.

A short ride on a tram will take you along the famous Mosilor Street, which is the beginning of Communist Bucharest, with its regimented blocks and housing projects. Make your way to the famous Obor Market and take a stroll amongst the stalls, stopping for a sip of traditional Romanian brandy before entering the indoor market to sample a range of Romanian cheeses. Try the most famous of all Romanian foods, mici, accompanied by a cold beer, followed by a sweet Wallachian doughnut, served piping hot.

Next, hop back on the tram and head straight to the heart of medieval Bucharest. Stroll through the winding, cobbled streets, filled with bars, cafés, shops, and restaurants. Pay a visit to one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, the stunning Carturesti Carusel. Finish your tour in the political center of the city, Revolution Square, an iconic spot that has witnessed some of the most important events in Romanian history.
