Top attractions in Brisbane
Brisbane is one of the larger cities in Australia and the capital of the state of Queensland. From furry animals to historic homes, there are a variety of things to see in this popular city.
On your first day down under, consider familiarizing yourself with the city on a bike tour. Explore the famous botanic gardens, the iconic Brisbane River and learn about the city's history, all while enjoying a relaxing bicycle ride.
While vacationing in Brisbane, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, located on the river, is a must-see spot. Learn all about the cuddly creatures and, if you'd like, pay to hold or feed one and get a picture.
After playing with one of Australia's most familiar animals, consider a coach tour. Visit the historic Windmill, Brisbane's oldest building, and cross Story Bridge, before stopping at Newstead House gardens, Brisbane's oldest residence.
Before you leave this magical city, take a ride in the towering Wheel of Brisbane. This oversize ferris wheel gives the best views of the city and all its sights. Whether you're visiting Cape Byron, getting up close and personal with animals at the Australian Zoo or enjoying fun in the sun at Noosa, a river playground and bush national park, Brisbane is full of adventure, excitement and allure.
What people are saying about Brisbane
My walking tour with Gabbi was amazing. She is a passionate tour guide, who is very knowledgeable and fun and interesting and smart! Gabbi shared her love of Brisbane in such a unique way, drawing me in with fairy doors and blue bird Xinjas and hidden coffee shops and interactive digital screens. I learned so much about this awesome city and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The very best way to start your stay !!
Had two wonderful walks in the rainforest to see all those special plants and rivers and waterfalls. Our guide was really nice to introduce to us fun facts about different plants and animals, and even stopped for us to listen to the birds. A really enjoyable day away from the hustle and bustle!
Sunset Safaris should be very proud of their staff and in particular their employee ‘Sammy’ who is a true professional and was the proverbial ‘glue’ in making everything/one stick together in difficult weather (very windy) conditions.
Priscilla was a very friendly tourguide. It was a pleasure for us taking the trips with her. She did a great job! It was an amazing day with unforgettable impressions. Everything was perfect. Thank you!!!
Excellent commentary on the boat trip up to Lone Pine koala sanctuary. The sanctuary is well staffed with lots of keepers attending to all the animals. The hole trip was a pleasure.
