What people are saying about Brighton
This was such a wonderful tour even though we did have some rain the day we went! Despite the rain, our guide made our tour very enjoyable and worked the itinerary to best fit the day's weather. The Seven Sisters are absolutely beautiful and you have the opportunity to see them from three or four different spots! The rest of South Downs National Park is also very rich with history and is quite beautiful and relaxing. There are plenty of opportunities to get amazing pictures as the tour is very well paced and our guide encouraged us to take our time. We even had a chance to go down to the beach near the Seven Sisters (of course this depends on the tide)! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and upbeat; he made the tour even better! Even after our tour was over, our guide gave people the option to stay and explore Brighton (he gave those who stayed in Brighton our train tickets back to London). Definitely take this tour! You will not be disappointed! Would highly recommend!
Lawrence is perhaps the best guide of any tour in my decades of touring. He knows the South Downs intimately like the back of his hand and you visit amazing places and see views that others do not even know about! Marvel at the full drama of the Seven Sisters as you firstly view down from the top of the highest of these immense chalk cliffs then soon after take a steep stair down a smaller cliff to sea level to feel dwarfed by the sheer vertical walls of white above you. Learn in simple terms about the amazing geology of the South Downs and the importance of the cliffs to human occupation and defence since Neolithic times to today. Drive though the rich pastoral and agricultural downs, find out about the interesting weald and Devils Ditch then sample the country foods and ciders at Middle Farm. All this and more makes a never to be forgotten day on the South Downs that Lawrence loves to share with his guests.
My daughter and I had a wonderful holiday visiting the Seven Sisters and South Downs. Lawrence, our tour guide made the tour so interesting. He took us to the best spots to view and took pictures of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs within the South Downs National Park. Lawrence is such an enthusiastic and patient tour guide. I highly recommend this tour if you are planning a trip to Brighton.
The weather wasn’t great but the i360 team changed our flight to sunset which was beautiful. An almost silent gradual accent which opens up a world of flickering lights which sparkle beneath you. Only a handful of other guests making it an almost private affair. Totally magical and the info on how it was built as you wait is fascinating. 5*
I wouldn't have hesitated to give this an excellent rating were it not for the very loud music throughout the trip which was both very obtrusive and also in my opinion totally unnecessary. If people want loud music i am sure they can play it via their personal devices.
