What people are saying about Borghese Gallery
If you are the art lover then the Borghese Gallery is the must! You'll find lots of high end art, especially Bernini sculptures. This gallery is more on sculptures than paintings though you'll find 6 masterpieces by Caravaggio in one place!! There is no other place on the planet to get the same concentration of Caravaggios. And of course the one and the only genius - Raffael!! Of course you'll find other masters works too like Tizian (Sacred and Profane Love), Rubens etc. On the negative side - I don't understand why this gallery asks that high price for the entrance ticket compared with Barberini Gallery for example?! Barberini Gallery asks you 12eur and you can go with the same ticket and visit the wonderful Corsini Gallery too! And the way to enter the gallery is quite inconvenient - we had to wait in line under the 40 degrees sun heat to step into the building one by one like ducks! Though inside the building there is enough room to hold the group of people.
you start up on the top floor with a bunch of mainly renaissance paintings then you make your way down a floor. and it's almost all statues ranging from roman times to the 1700s. there are some spectacular statues, which made it all worth it. You are allowed to visit in 2 hour windows.
Excellent Italian Art by brilliant artists such as Bernini, Caravaggio et al. The sculptures by Bernini of The Rape of Persephone and Apollo and Daphne are exquisite. Raphael’s Deposition of Christ is probably the most valuable painting in the gallery and well worth seeing.
Everything was good. Very easy to book only, good help line service, I was late and called the number provided, which was Easy to find and to reach out to, the person with my ticket waited for me and contacted me as well via phone. Perfect organization!
Great service. They still had tickets the night before my planned visit when all of the other online re-sellers were sold out (including the official Borghese Gallery Website). Very easy to find the meeting point and friendly transfer of ticket.
