On paper the trip looks organized...you won't know until you get to Italy (Venice for us). 1. Find the Piazzale Roma bus station (just ask the hotel for information). 2. Take a bus ride to Falcade (approx 3hours away from Venice).Wait in front of B6/B7 in the west section of Piazzale Roma. Be ready bus depot is very busy. The itinerary said meet at 7:25 am and go to laneB6/B7. Got there 10 mins early ,7:25am struck, was @ at B6/B7-no bus. Waited for 10-15 mins and no bus ,my sister (minimum Italian) started asking about 5 bus drivers if they know anything about this bus. They said wait for the Brusutti bus (name of bus important, the print on the voucher is very small). 3. Tried calling the customer service- no help 4. Bus was late, came at 8am. Driver did not speak too much but was helpful 5. Voucher did not say if meeting somebody at the cable car, but was met by the manager of the ski resort (very nice man) 6. Appetizer & Lunch -food ok &service good
I decided to book this tour at the last minute for my 16 year old son and myself with Alessandro. It turned out to be a wonderful decision. He was extremely kind and patient with my autistic son and was able to adjust the tour to meet our needs and keep both of our interests. He was extremely knowledgable about the geography and history of the region. I highly recommend the tour and look forward to taking an additional tour through the Dolomites with Alessandro in the future. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!!
It was difficult to connect from the bus to the cable car...Thankyou to the information service lady who went way over and above to help us.. However this left us with not enough time at the top we couldn't locate the museum which was a shame ...more detailed instructions regarding connections would have made the trip excellent and without any stress...the lication is amazing ..we just wanted more time at the top .. The customer service team were also very responsive and this was much appreciated
Chinzia was a wonderful guide from start to finish. We had considered self-driving this trip but opted for the tour instead. We were glad of our decision as Chinzia knew all the best viewpoints for the locations as well as some off the beaten track strolls. One little surprise was a short walk to the base of a rock face where some marmots came and had a look at us! This trip was the highlight of our Italian journey and we have some National Geographic standard photos to take home as memories!
Our guide Simone was sensational. He was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and good fun to be with. Also a good driver. Starting at Piazzale Roma in Venice, we were able to locate Simone easily, due to the clear directions we were given. The trip was unhurried and informative, with regular stops. It was an easy and very enjoyable day, exploring a gloriously beautiful part of Northern Italy, that while only two hours from Venice, was an entirely different experience. Highly recommended.
