What people are saying about Bogotá
There were about 15 cyclists in our group. The tour took approximately 4 hours and was taken at a pace everyone could cope with. The route was mostly flat but there were a few gentle inclines. The tour guide was very informative. He proved the group with information on the history of Columbia and Bogota as capital. He provided us with information on each of the historical buildings we passed. He also provided information on Columbia's recent history and the social problems which still exist in the country / city. We spent a fair amount of time in the old historic part of the city but ventured out to neighbourhoods in the north, south and west of the city. We visited a market and had an opportunity to taste some local fruit and drinks. A very good tour and a good way to find your way around a new city.
The tour started at 10:30 AM and went to about 3:30 PM with a break around noon to purchase fruit or food from stands in the National Park. It was a great experience from start to finish, although the cycling was a bit challenging at times as you need to navigate the sidewalks, vehicles and other traffic. The guide was great and we made several stops including a small coffee factory. If you don't mind cycling through some traffic and are in reasonable shape, this is a 'must do' activity in Bogota.
Guides were excellent and kept group highly engaged. The stops were great, food was good, the whole tour was a lot of fun. Recommend doing it early in stay and on Sunday when sections of city are closed off to cars allowing bikes to ride in streets where cars normally run. All 9 of our group loved the tour.
The tour was excellent... the fruit market was a great surprise. We could see local things which helps to really know what Bogota culture is about. Mike (tour guide) and Luis Carlos were really good, helping at all moment.
Bikes adequate to good. Great value for $. Well organized and fun. I like laid back and informative owner who has terrific sense of humor. English speaking very helpful. Tour includes out of the ordinary activities.
