Full description
Eagle hunting is a tradition with a long history in the Kyrgyz Republic, dating as far back as the Stone Age - you can see images of eagle hunting carved into rocks in certain parts of the country. Eagle hunting is also an integral part of Kyrgyz nomadic culture and traditions. On this tour, see a demonstration of eagle hunting, take incredible photographs and see a Golden Eagle.

The tour usually starts with the Eagle Hunting demonstration (depends on the season) This tour will provide you the chance to meet with Berkitchi - hunter with eagle, and listen his story about Bird adoption, growing and teaching hunting, you will be able to see several tricks that really demonstrate the bond connection between the hunter and his buddy. 

You will be taken to the National Park, Ala-Archa, where you will feel like you are in a fairytale. 'Ala', in the Kyrgyz language means bright and colorful and 'archa' is a juniper. The entire gorge and surrounding mountains are covered in junipers which change color in accordance with the seasons. After snow in the winter the junipers are white, but in the spring they are a beautiful green. 

There are several options to have lunch, to pack one yourself and have a picnic or pre-order (1 hour in advance) at the local cafe. After lunch continue on a short trek up to the mountains toward the “Broken Heart” rock. From there, you will be amazed with the views will opened in front of you - an intersection of two rivers “Ak-Sai” and “Adygene” surrounded with snow peaks mountains covered with junipers or rocks. While walking there you will see up to the 80 different kinds of plants, including flowers, rowanberry trees, plants of lime, lemon, and scallion, which you will be able to try depends on the season you are traveling.
