Full description
Enjoy this one-day tour, an excursion to Burana tower and swimming in the Issyk-Ata thermal springs.

Burana Tower is a tower-minaret, which was built in the 10th-12th centuries under the Karakhanids, and is now listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. This excursion will take you around the entire complex territory, on a visit to the museum and up Burana Tower itself for panoramic views all around. In addition to the tower, you will also be able to see the balbalas ("stone graves") that are located nearby and were created by ancient Turkic tribes. Visiting the whole territory will give you a sense of the 12th century atmosphere and the chance to see some of the most ancient artifacts firsthand.

After the excursion, go to the Issyk-Ata Gorge, which is referenced in ancient written sources. There are the famous Issyk-Ata hot hydrogen sulfide springs, the ancient image of Buddha and many other sights in the vicinity. In the 12th and 14th centuries, the gorge was the cradle of Buddhism in the region, because of which Issyk-Ata is not just a unique area of natural beauty, but also a place steeped in a unique history. There is also famous resort, which was created during the USSR and still has its atmosphere and symbolism there. There you can taste the mineral water called Arashan, as well as swim in the hot thermal springs (private pool).

Depending on the season you can also walk towards the Gorge famous waterfall. This is highly recommended also during winter time, when it is just beautiful, everything is snow covered and you can experiencing swimming in the hot springs under the open sky, when the temperature is minus.
